Well, actually, maybe I do. For years, I listened carefully to Procol Harum's Whiter Shade Of Pale, and I was quite sure it was very profound. When I finally managed to hunt down the lyrics on the web, and I finally decoded them, the actual verses, while engaging, fell somewhat short of the heights of philosophical insight to which I'd mistakenly elevated them.
And of course, if I'd written the songs for that old group America, I'd be horrified to have my lyrics published (Just what the heck is a soapsud green like bubble?).
At any rate, here are a few lyrics I've found on the Internet, and a couple I transcribed myself. I'll try to add more as I come across them...
